Our Story
About
First, it is “our” story.
Most “creation” myths in religious traditions have some primordial man coming into being. The “how” is certainly very different, depending on all kinds of variables–culture, values, climate, etc.–but the “why” is often similar: at the most fundamental level, we are all related, with the same ancestry. We are all family…and should treat each other as such.
For me, it probably started as a kid with watching Jeffrey Hunter (who was to be Captain Christopher Pike in the pilot episode of “Star Trek”) as Jesus in “King of Kings.” Then there was the Taoist priest in exile, Kwai Chang Caine in “Kung Fu.” That journey ultimately led to A Theology for the Rest of Us and this website. So? What is your story?
